The Renault Type AG was an early passenger car model from Renault . In 1907 it became the Renault Type AG-1 . Both were also called 8 CV and 8/9 CV in 1909 and 9 CV from 1910 . Several thousand copies were as taxi used.
The national licensing authority granted its approval on September 26, 1905.
A water-cooled two - cylinder engine with a 75 mm bore and 120 mm stroke produced 8 hp from a displacement of 1060 cm³ . The engine power was fed to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The top speed was specified as 34 km / h to 46 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.
With a wheelbase of 262 cm and a track width of 126 cm, the vehicle was 360 cm long, 155 cm wide and 215 cm high. The chassis weighed 540 kg, the complete vehicle 1050 kg. The Landaulet body version has survived.
