Since the end of the 18th century, circuses brought fun to the cities, they brought to the people what came from the farthest parts of the globe: animals, artistic shows, customs, and traditions; and due to this, to have a good circus, it was necessary to have the ability to travel the world, and all this was only within the reach of those who lived in the powerful nations of the time.
That is why France has in its Pinder circus one of the most important and recognized circus companies in the world; Although its origin dates back to 1854 (founded by brothers George and William Pinder) in the United Kingdom, in 1904 it finally settled in France and forged its history.
Today the circus has lost a lot of ground, it has lost a certain magic, and it has had to reinvent itself (perhaps the clearest example is that of the well-known "Cirque du Solei" today, in which animals are not used). Even so, the Pinder Circus is a fundamental part of French history, and for this reason, and for all the glamor it used to have.
