Iconic Replicas
Iconic Replicas pretty much "nailed it" for capturing all the little details of the 1957 Peterbilt 281 tractor and tank trailer as seen in the movie "Duel." Things like the six license plates on the front bumper of the truck in the movie are nearly exactly like the ones reproduced on the model as they match the state, number and faded colors. Other well-done details include the rust colors used for the truck and trailer, the faded red on the truck's air cleaner, the small mirror just beyond the radiator, the unusual air conditioner on the back of the cab and the single horn and two marker lights on the roof of the cab. Exactly like in the movie itself. You can't go wrong with this tractor & tank trailer set especially if you're a fan of this classic movie from 1971 and or just like old Peterbilt trucks. Now if only Iconic Replicas can reproduce in 1/43 scale that Plymouth Valiant that got chased from the beginning to the end in "Duel."
