The Woonsocket Fire Department Rhode Island along with the Woonsocket Police Department make up the Department of Public Safety. The Department is headed by a Chief who reports to the Director of Public Safety. The entire department is responsible for the protection of the community's health, quality of life, and property.
The department's mission is to protect the residents and businesses of Woonsocket in a professional manner in order to immediately provide aid to the general public.
