The Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) is located in Marion County in central Indiana. The IFD Fire Service District covers 93 of the 402 square miles that constitute metropolitan Indianapolis and Marion County. The IFD is responsible for the safety of 400,000 citizens and is a fully professional fire department.
The IFD is spread throughout the fire district and its facilities include 26 fire stations and multiple administrative offices and services located at several additional sites throughout Indianapolis.
Ladder 15
Ladder 15 is a 93ft. American LaFrance Eagle Ladder Tower placed in-service October 2001. It operates out of Station 15 located at 3502 East Prospect Street. Ladder 15's first alarm response area is residential and commercial and serves in the South East section of Indianapolis.
