Bob Hamilton is a true racing champion. This 1970 Chevy Chevelle was originally purchased as a daily driver for his wife. Of course, they had to option it out with the SS package and 454 motor option. It wasn’t long before the car started disappearing to the track on the weekends when Bob would sneak off to run the drag strip and come back with a few new modifications. Eventually, the Hamiltons decided to turn their ’70 SS into a full on drag machine, and “Red Alert” was born. With the name on the sign and “The devil made me do it” painted on the trunk Bob’s car had a great presence about it. This caught the attention of model car brand AMT who decided to sponsor Bob’s Red Alert and release it as a best-selling model kit!
