The Setra S 319 NF is a low floor - bus , produced by the German bus manufacturer Scania . The entry and exit is reduced, so no steps are required. The NF in the name stands for Niederflurbus , which in turn means low-floor bus. The section between the front and back door is at the same height. The part where the seats are has been raised. The bus was replaced at the end of 2006 by the S 416 NF .
This model bus was used in the Netherlands by Syntus, among others . The bus was originally purchased from RVM by Oostnet . Oostnet bought the bus for the combined line S71 from Winterswijk to Münster . RVM purchased the Setra's for this line and so Oostnet bought a bus. In 2003 the cooperation with RVM expired and it was considered to sell the bus. This proved unsuccessful. The bus eventually remained at Syntus, but was painted in "Stadtbus Bocholt" colors for the combined line 40 / C7 that goes from Doetinchem via Dinxperlo to Bocholtis going. This also proved to be unsuccessful, after which it was decided to repaint the bus to Syntus colors and to use it for reinforcement drives in the Achterhoek or in the event of a train failure. After the concession in the Achterhoek expired, this bus was taken out of service.
