In 1983 the Rallye d’Antibes was an international affair and counted for the European Rally Championship. A small Renault 5 Turbo surprised the Porsche 911, Opel Manta 400 and other Ascona. It was all thanks to Jean-Luc Thérier who thus obtained his only victory in this event.
